80's Style DIRT Modified Camaro

Comments from Vince:
Had an old Monogram "Street Stalker" (GLUE BOMB) sittin in the closet that needed some TLC! Stripped it down to the bare nothings and started going to town! Went to the "evergreen" plastic/metal shop, got some material, gathered some bending tools, and built another roundy round car.

Built a complete "rolling" chassis by connecting the uni-bodies together, cut the whole back end of the chassis off and built a new one complete with all the shock mounts, racing shocks and sway bar. Used the stock leaf springs that came with the car, added some sprint car rubber, built a hot new 355 cubic inch for horses, (also set back to scale 18"), put in a new fuel cell, built a nice "coffin" around the driver, custom built the radiator shroud and nosepiece, found a nice hood scoop for the hood and added some putty and we were about ready to go!

Also had to put foam in the tires to keep the mud out! A little Testors White and some decals from the decal box, and, a neat little something or other from the junkyard that made a really nice spoiler!

When I was a kid back in the 70's and 80's this was how they raced them at the Beaumont Speedway in Texas. Believe it or not though they had a full sprint car wing on top. They were then called "SUPER STOCKS"! I had thought seriously about adding one to this but not this time,.......maybe later.

Hope everyone enjoys this one. By the way, I still have to finish the back end. Needs a bumper to fend off the bad guys. Still neat though. Later!"
