"This car represents Dick Johnson's ride he had in NASCAR for 4 races in '89. Dick Johnson is a living legend in Australia, winning 5 Australian Touring Car Championships '81,'82,'84,'88 &'89. He was one of the very first drivers I know of to actually talk to television commentators as he was driving.

Ironically, this was his downfall in the USA. While racing at Watkins Glen in the Bud at Glen he was talking away to the commentators when his car slid out and ran up the embankment, as Dick hit the embankment the F word slipped out on national television. This was the last time they ever talked to him. Hahahaha..

This car is built box stock. The only minor mods on did to it were opening up the slots in the wheels and giving them a coat of Alclad polished aluminium & cutting out the window net. The car is painted with Tamiya TS8 Italian Red and TS17 Gloss Aluminium. Finished off with a few wet coats of TS13 Clear. Les has done a wonderful job on this decal and it was a pleasure to build"
