Leeroy Yarbrough's 1970 Ford Torino

Quote from Richard:
"Leeroy Yarbrough's 1970 Ford Torino. Near as I can tell the teams ran the 70 Torino on the smaller tracks and the 69 on the faster ones. It is an old AMT kit. I got it from a buddy of mine as a built up kit. I took it apart, stripped it down and started over. Paint job is strait from the can and after market decals. I didn't clearcote the kit, just a little polishing.

Rims and tires are from the parts box. I didn't alter the body too much ( I couldn't get myself to cut such and old kit!). I did do some cutting on the chassis to get the car to set the way I wanted. Because of the stance I had to shave off part of the bell housing. Over all I think it turned out pretty good. The same buddy gave me some old 60's and 70's racing mags which is where I got the idea for the build."
