Comment from Rob:
"These models represent 2 asphalt modifieds that ran on Long Island at Islip, Freeport and Riverhead. The first is the #380 Gary Winters Monza, also known as “Monzilla” and the second is the AOK Coach driven by Frank “Mississippi” Curtis. The thing I really like about these 2 is that they ran roughly 10 years apart. The AOK Coach ran in the mid to late 1960’s and the #380 Monza ran in the mid 1970’s. The transformation for that 10 year period is amazing. Decals are by Tom Piotrowski and the resin parts (wheels/tires, fuel cells, seats, radiators) are from Larry at Big donkey Resins."
Enjoy! More Long Island modifieds to come, along with some early midgets!!
