Don Gregory Jeg’s Monte Carlo

decals by BULLRING GRAPHIX!

Notes from Rod McLeod:

"Columbus Ohio’s Don Gregory was one of those guys in the 1970s that traveled quite a bit from Florida to Canada. He won his share of races at Columbus and a few times in the ASA too including the famous Dri-Power 400. I recall him coming up to races in Canada at Sunset, Pinecrest and Cayuga Speedways in the early to mid-seventies. He is well known among model builders because his purple and white Jeg’s Camaro was one of the original 4 releases in MPC’s Super Stocker Series. I remember bypassing that kit on the shelf as a teen because it didn’t have the pictured Hoosier tires.

When Model King re-released the Monte Carlo from that series this year, I received a picture from model builder and ARCA historian Jim Hehl of a car raced by Gregory just before the Camaro. The car had a cool stars and stripes Jeg’s logo and there was no doubt that this decal sheet needed to be made. The sheet features gold foil numbers.

Unfortunately the build is on hold at this point but the decals have been test fitted to the body and can be printed right away. If you finish one before I do, please send it along and Les will post it for you."

Notes frm Mr NASCAR:
"Gregory raced both a Chevelle and a Monte Carlo prior to the afore-mentioned JEGS Camaro. We hope to get a complete build-up of this from Chris in a few weeks, but these decals are now available from BULLRING GRAPHIX - Click Here!"
