BOB POLVERARI's Vega Modified

Story from Paul:
BOB POLVERARI began his racing career in 1954, while still in high school, running at Riverside Park Speedway in the Tuesday Night Sportsman and Saturday Night Modifieds. Bob stopped racing in 1955 after running short of money and didn't return to the Modifieds until 1969 and competed until 1990 when he retired from racing.

During that period Bob won a record 5 Riverside Championships (1975 thru 1977,1982 & 1990) and 4 Riverside 500 Victories. Bob also won the 1981 Stafford Speedway Spring Sizzler.

Bob came out of retirement in 1998 at age 61 to drive the TG Racing #1 and captured 2 victories. Bob again raced in 1999 for Riverside Parks Final Year and won another 3 features, including the last race ever run at Riverside Speedway on October 17, 1999.

In 2001 Bob ran the Featherlite Modified Tour posting respectable finishes and winning Busch Pole Award.
