Jimmy Johnson's 2005 LOWES IMPALA Fantasy Build

I've enclosed photos of...a"what if?" build on the 2005 Impala as a "Cup" car.
I used the chassis from AMT's 2005 Lowes Monte Carlo, and the body from Revell's 2005 IMPALA Police car "Easy Kit". I had the idea before the "Car of Tomorrow" because I've liked the body style of the Impala since GM brought it back.
Mant Modifications were needed to the body. First, I filled several holes for the snap parts and molded-in lines for the 4 doors and body trim; I opened the hood, sanded off the molded in door handles, added the cowl are, roof and window rails, side skirts, front valence, front and back window strips a spoiler from the parts box - heated to fit the Impala. I narrowed the "B" pillars, added a side window from the parts box, modified to fit, modified the windshield to fit after the cowl area was added, and added a gas filler to the left quarter panel from a warped body

Several modifications were needed on the roll cage because the Impala body did not fit the Monte Carlo roll cage, but I hit the old parts box, and came up with a cage that looks halfway right, along with a modified parts box dash. I added the trim under the back window, and around the modified dash.
Since this is a "waht if?" build, I used different colors for the paint scheme, but used the kit decals. After everything dried, I used Future to clearcoat the body."
