Gene Hobby's 1964 Whitmore Inc Dodge

This is the ’64 Dodge sedan driven by Gene Hobby during the 1965 season. This was the year Chrysler boycotted much of the year in protest over NASCAR refusing to allow the hemi engines to compete. I built this kit using the stock Lindberg Dodge 330 kit but with one of the lightweight bucket seats from the Lindberg Super Stock drag kit. Engine is the kit 361 which is a passable substitution for the 426 wedge engine used in the race car. Roll cage is scratchbuilt. Paint is MCW 1964 Dodge Light Blue and the decals, wheels, and tires are from Plastic Performance Products. "
