Overall, this model was pretty easy to build. The kit gave you two options: Street Superbird or Richard Petty's racing version. This model called for a Dodge Daytona, but I used a Plymouth Superbird since it is the closest thing to a Daytona that Revellogram currently has on the market. If you want to get technical, the kit is not accurate as a Nascar model in several areas. The exhaust is not Nascar style. It has dual exhaust pipes under the rear bumper. There is no fuel opening on the driver-side quarter panel, the windshield wipers are present at the base of the windshield, the door handles are present, there is no roll cage, and the only way to make the interior Nascar style is to omit the passenger-side front bucket seat. The back seat is present, and there's no way to remove it. All these things aside, this model served my purposes just fine.

There were only a few alterations I made to make this model "Nascar friendly". Pictures of these cars show that the chrome door handles were removed and replaced with a sheet metal patch covering the holes. All I did was cut off about 90% of the door handle, leaving a raised area of plastic. After painting the body, there was an outline that I painted aluminum to appear like a sheet metal patch of the door handle. The tail lights came in chrome that you could paint red for the street version. I decided to use them as chrome to appear like a sheet metal patch (like the door handles).

I used left over plastic tree to make the roll cage (2 1/4" wide by 1 3/4" high). The name "PLYMOUTH" appeared in raised letters on the back of the car between the tail lights. Sanding them down took care of that.
