1998 #24 "Gold" DuPont Monte Carlo

"Here's a car that I had the idea to make after Revell-Monogram came out with the NASCAR 50th Anniversary Gold Monte Carlo in 1998. I came across an internet auction that was selling a few of these cars fairly cheap, so I bought them to make this car along with a few others I have yet to make.

The odd thing is, the body of the car was plated with the gold chrome, but the front spoiler wasn't. There was a gold colored decal that comes with the kit for the front spoiler. When I tried applying it, it broke apart and ended up useless. So, I painted the front spoiler black. I felt that trying to paint it gold might have ended up looking like a poor attempt to match it to the gold chrome. "
