"This project started out as a 2004 1/18 scale DP prototype from the Rolex 24 hours at Daytona. Kurt Busch, along with Helio Castroneves and Ryan Briscoe teamed up in the #9 Toshiba Pontiac for the 2008 edition. Kurt drove during the night and kept the team alive in a podium finish effort in the DP division. Finishing third was a huge accomplishment for the Penske team.

I've had the great fortune of working on side projects for Kurt, particularly recreating cars like this one with memorable finishes and significant races in his career to be displayed at his race shop in North Carolina. Thanks to Les and the aid of white decals...I was able to finish up the car in time for a Bristol delivery!"
