Mark Martin's VALVOLINE Test Car

Quote from Chuck:
"...This is a product of sheer laziness! It was originally going to be a Rusty Wallace Elvis car, but after two horrendous paint tries, it got primered sanded and forgotten.

When I grabbed it off the shelf, it got dusted off, the chassis got finished (it was about 50% done) and I started thinking about it. The body had already been primered and painted twice, then sanded and primered again, it was a tad thick! So instead of saying third time is a charge, it became a test car.

Black bare metal foil acted as 200mph tape on the hood pins, it covered all the naca ducts, as well as the grill. Aluminum bare metal foil was used as sheet metal around the left rear wheel well. A red #6 was hand painted as well as a couple of "A's" . It was fun, I might do a few more test cars! ...
I'm 37 years old and have been building for about 27 years."
