Under the pseudonym "John Winter", which he got to hide his racing career from his Mother, Louis Krages won the 24 Hours of Le Mans two times. After he sold his timber business in Bremen/Germany in 1994, he drove his last season as a privateer in the 1995 DTM. He was found shot in his apartment in Atlanta/USA Jan. 11, 2001, he commited suicide."
