DMC Motorsports 1/10th SCALE Intrepid!!

(Note from Mr N: "This is an incredible tour de force by Dave! Further down is a shot beside a 1/24th Intrepid so you can appreciate the scope of this project!")

Model Write-up from Dave:

"A couple of years back a friend of mine that races 1/10 R/C cars showed me the new Dodge Intrepid R/T R/C car body and asked me if I had any ideas of making a model out of it. After purchasing the like body I began to take a few measurements, such as wheel base, width, ride height etc..

I consider myself an average modeler at best and thought that such a project could never be accomplished by an amateur.
I had an 1/12 scale Hemi (426 cid) dragster engine that I've had for quite some time and thought with some modifications would be the perfect engine for this project. So I acquired everything under the sun that even resembled racecar pieces.

I bought several sizes of brass stock from a local hobby store and proceeded with what I consider the most challenging project I personally have attempted.

I hope all the fellow modelers out there like what I tried to do here, Maybe even the Dodge Boys will think about using the 354 Hemi that's currently used in drag racing!

So here it is, the DMC Motorsports Dodge.

I had so much enjoyment creating this car, I wish I could figure how to mass produce some of these pieces! I have made plans to start another but haven't decided what car yet. Why the DMC Motorsports? Well isnt everyone's dream that builds NASCAR models to have their own car! Well this would be mine! Hope everyone enjoys these photos!"
