NASCAR MODELS by Chuck Poi
Junior Johnson/Gwyn Staley 1954 NASCAR Cadillac

Note From Chuck:
"This car was owned by big-band leader Paul Whiteman who happened to be a friend of Bill France. This car was driven by both Gwyn Staley and Junior Johnson in 1954. This is how in was configured as it was raced on the one mile dirt at Langhorne PA. I used an R&R Vacuum Craft body and had to extend the wheelbase on the '56 Chevy Revell donor kit chassis. It did all of the decal work and used my resin tire/wheels. The real car looks to have a 6-lug front wheels which may have been part of the "export kit" that American manufactures offered to cars being sold for overseas use. The dirt screen is made from a fiberglass screen repair kit."

Here is info on Chuck's line of vintage resin NASCAR - his was the first resin I ever tried, with great results!:
