Tommy Andrews' Grand American Mustang!!
By Steve Buckner

QUOTE From STEVE:
Here's ... the Grand American series Mustang driven by Tommy Andrews. Was a top contender throughout the 60' and early 70's. His cars were also skinned as Comets, Falcons, Cougars and others.

His cars also ran as #21. These cars ran nearly every track from Talladega to Baton Rouge.

I used the AMT 67 Mustang GT as the basis and kitbashed the AMT Torino Cobra for its stocker parts and cage.Scratch built front engine bay cage and core support was once the brush guard from a Dodge 4x4. Used Detail Master for the wire mesh in the grill and the window net, fabricated shocks and exhaust from aluminum tube stock, used aluminum "flashing" to create headlight and tail light covers, made hood pins from sewing needles, used fuel cell and dash from "parted out" 80'2 T-Bird. Tires and wheels are Goodyear speedway specials and Holman/Moody from some 70's stocker kit(found in the junk box).

Decals created by Jeff Lancaster and printed on the Alps printer. "
