"Lil' Joe was a casual friend of my Dad's. They raced at a lot of the same tracks. I have a picture of the two of them talking at the old Raliegh 1 mile dirt Speedway back in the early 1950's. I've always favored the Virgina NASCAR drivers, so I built his final car. Too bad he didn't feel comfortable in that shoulder harness."

The #12 '60 Ford is a Holman- Moody entry that Joe Weatherly drove to 3 wins.... was built from an original AMT 1960 model.I found it at a toy show for $10. At the time it was customized and painted purple and gold (nice.).
