Modified Stocker

Note From Bill:
"an AMT modified stocker kit that I changed out the wheels and tires. Also added protective screens like they used to use on the dirt tracks. Also, added some real dirt for a little more "realism".

Not an actual car, but the feel of the late 60's dirt trackers. (and I had been wanting to use those 7's...)"

Note from Mr N:
I got this nice intro from Bill, felt it was worth sharing. This guy's been around the sport a while! Thanks, Bill!)

"Bill McDonald of Inside Motorsports.net here. I thoroughly enjoyed the pictures on your website. I, too, have been a modeler since my youth, ...with the requisite time out for girls and college. I prefer the "dark side" as your contributers call it. My Dad used to own the old modified stockers in the fifties and early sixties, with his drivers racing against the likes of Ray Hendrick and Ted Hairfield. I grew up on the early NASCAR of Richard Petty, Fred Lorenzon and Fireball Roberts. I have been a racing reporter for the past 14 years doing NASCAR radio programming both local and syndicated."
