Ray Hendrick Flyin’ 11 Camaro Modified by Mark Jeffries:

"In 1970 NASCAR and Martinsville Speedway tried to usher in a new era of full fendered modern body-styles. The Jack Tant owned Ray Hendrick driven Camaro replaced the famed 37 Chevy bodied car and was the most successful of the new cars. The car won over $100,000 in special events at South Boston, Martinsville (twice), Langley Field and Trenton. There have been lots of models of this one over the years but we haven’t found a proper decal sheet for it and thought it would make a good addition to the Bullring Graphix line.

This one would be reasonably easy to build from an AMT 67 Camaro body and the Model King modified chassis. The wheelbase would have to be adjusted but that can be done easily by sectioning the kit frame.

Mark took a bit more extreme approach to his build though and ended up scratch-building almost everything. He used wheels and a fuel cell from
Fred’s Resin Workshopcom (http://www.fredsresinworkshop.com/).

I think you will agree that the result captures the real car very well.
