decals by BULLRING GRAPHIX!

"I was just a kid when my uncle bought Flamboro Speedway, and not much older when he bought Pinecrest too.. This is Howie's 69 super-bee he ran at Flamboro Speedway in the early seventies, mixing it up with some of the greats of the time like Don Beiderman and Bob Sennekar... Drove this car to some impressive wins and proved to make a great Latemodel race car.
The model used for this Howie Scannell build is the Monogram Dodge 440 Magnum six pack. The engine was slightly altered to simulate the single carburatored engine allowed in latemodel racing. The frame was modified to allow dual purpose tires to fit and wheels modified to look like the home made syle that racers hand made. The roll cage was Scratch built from Plastic (Evergreen) rod.
The interior was closed off with Evergreen plastic as well and Body fenders and Quarter panels hogged out so Wide tires would fit."

Note from Mr NASCAR:
"Lui's uncle owned two Toronto-area tracks :Flamboro from 68-71 and Pinecrest from71-75, He owned both in 1971 then sold Flamboro and kept Pincrest. Lui is a member of Group 25."
